The pages linked from the Section Menu above include answers to some of the most common questions students ask us about WebVista course sites along with answers and links to further information that can help you. These instructions only cover the University of Minnesota's implementation of WebVista. It does not consider other issues that may prevent you from using WebVista, such as a malfunctioning computer, operating system, or Internet service.
If your computer, operating system, or Internet service is malfunctioning and preventing you from using a WebVista course site or you generally experience problems with insufficient computer memory, system crashes, or your Internet service, try to resolve these problems before you use WebVista. For assistance, call the Technology Helpline for your campus.
- Twin Cities: (612) 301-4357 (1-HELP on campus)
- Duluth: (218) 726-8847
- Crookston: (218) 281-8000
- Morris: (320) 589-6391
If possible, you may want to use a computer lab on campus, or use the University's modem pool to connect.
Also make sure that you are not behind a firewall, a local protection some schools and companies use that can prevent you from accessing certain sites or using certain tools. See if you can access other Web sites, especially secured Web sites such as online banking services. If you can't, you will need to resolve these issues with your Internet service provider or local network administrator.
